Also, the convenience of ordering kits is replaced by inflexibility in being able to customize the materials to your exact specifications. This can create gaps, odd angles, and other flaws in the final stair or railing installation. Finally, kits usually rely on compression fittings, or screws, which may require adjusting or re-tightening in the future.
